The BALANCED way to effectively and quickly train your dog.

At Beyond The Leash k9 we do NOT bribe your dog to work by constantly "begging" for compliance with constant treats. Your dog will learn to respond to you out of RESPECT for you as leader of his/her "pack". You will instil this leadership role by speaking to a him/her in a language that is natural to the dog and is based on instinctual wolf pack behaviour so he/she will easily understand.

Our BALANCED methods will let the dog know the difference between wanted and unwanted behaviours. We will use both positive and negative re-enforcements in a manner that will increase the bond between you and your dog and get results quickly.

We pride ourselves on using real life distraction to make your dog reliable under any situation.

At Beyond The Leash k9 we train by progressively introducing distractions, and incrementally make these distraction more and more demanding each week. It can begin as easy as a treat at your dogs feet he must leave and become demanding as someone going by on a skateboard while throwing tennis balls. A dog that can not maintain a "stay" under ANY situation you can put him/her through, really does not know "stay" at all.

From Novice to Intermediate to Advanced we train to get your dog to be reliable and give you 100% confidence in your dogs ability, under all situation, be it with company at the house, in crowds outdoors, or among traffic and other dogs. Owning a dog that is trained to the point of confidence even under distractions, makes it a happy more joyful life for both you and your dog.
